How has your journey on being a music
artist felt?
I never
imagined I’d be here, at first I thought I’d be someone that preformed in pubs
if I was lucky. More and more people suddenly started asking questions about
what I wanted and I guess it good around. I am so grateful to everyone that has
helped me this far! I will not let them down and make it worth their time and
effort. I still feel 10 years old, singing and dancing round my room.
What’s your favorite type of music?
If I’m
honest I love every kind of music, but dance, house and general chart music I especially
love as all I do half the time is dance around in clubs pretending I’m a good
dancer. A good beat can make everyone go mad! I do love them song you have to
belt out soulfully though.
When did you first start singing?
I
always sang at home to anything that was on but I only really started becoming serious
when I started A-level music tech and I had to use someone’s voice, so I thought
I might as well try my own and play around with it.
What are your favorite songs?
That
is a hard question! I think everyone has the classic all-time favorite which is
probably Wonderwall Oasis for me but then at this moment in time I don’t think I
can pick one song that I could say is my favorite.
What can we expect?
Well I’m
hoping I get to do more festival and start a UK tour and then if successful a
world tour would be a dream! I’m due to be playing one of the introducing stages
at Glastonbury which is the biggest thing I’ve ever been asked to do! And I’m terrified
but so excited at the same time.
How does your family feel about your
success?
They
have been so supportive, I don’t think they were expecting it to happen so fast
but they always believed me and had faith in me. They will keep me very humble
still though. I will still be made to clean the dishes and hover the house when
I’m back home with them, but I don’t mind so much because I want to keep myself
down to earth and not become so much of a diva.
Do you play any instruments?
I play
the very basics on guitar which is practically like two songs but I play piano
and keyboard a bit. The thing I do mostly is mix on the computer using
different elements and software, which is what I learnt in my A-level course.
First gig/concert?
My
first gig was Chase and Status but then the first big concert was Jay-z and
Kanye West – Watch the throne which was actually the best thing I’ve ever seen
and now to be preforming at the same festival as Kanye is insane!
Do you get nervous?
Yes
so nervous! I get such bad butterflies, I can’t talk to anyone before going on
stage because I’d just breakdown but as soon as I get on the stage it all goes
and the adrenaline kicks in which is the best feeling ever!
Do you like to go to festivals and
concerts?
I love
them so much! I’d rather spend all my money on the than clothes and make up. If
it means have a good time with loads of people who are too, I’m in.
